Up at youtube, there's an inteview/presentation
by Cyril H Wecht from 2017 hosted by the "Sixth [link]
Floor Museum".

Cyril Wecht is an experienced Forensic Pathologist
without who got involved early in his career with
double-checking the Warren Commission's conclusions--
Wecht immediately began going "WTF?!" and never stopped.

He's written a number of books on this subject, but
for now, a few points from this video:

The JFK assasination saga begins with Kennedy rushed to the
Parkland hospital in Dallas, where the doctors on the scene
began procedures to try to save his life, but quickly realized
he was dead. And soon after that some federal goons show up
and forcibly grab Kennedy's body away from them (forget what
you may have heard about state's having jurisdiction in murders),
they rushed Kennedy's body away taking it to Bethesda, Maryland
where-- Wecht asserts-- they had people who had never done a
gun shot autopsy before go to work on it.

"Let's go back to the 18 doctors right
here in Dallas, at Parkland Hospital."
                                                (One name: Dr. McClellan)
"You've got a dozen, this is on camera"

"Everyone of them talked about the defect
in the back of the skull."

"Ken Clark [sp?] The chief of neuro-surgery-- do you think
he knows the difference between cerebellum and cerebral
   hemisphere? What do you think?!"

"Who are you going to believe? These guys, or the people
there at who've never done a gun-shot wound autopsy in their
   entire careers?"

At around 1:21:20 Wecht talks about the RFK assasination:

To introduce the point, he askes the audience to guess roughly
how far away RFK was when the fatal gunshot was fired.
They come up with guesses like 6ft, 12ft...

Wecht sets the scene, and reviews the things that everyone knows:
RFK has just won the democratic nomination in California, he's
going to be the candidate and is most likely going to be the next
president. To dodge the crowds, they lead RFK out through the
Kitchen-- there he meets Sirhan Sirhan who (supposedly) shoots
and kills him.

Welch insists then that the fatal gunshot:
    (1) "entered behind the ear, trajectory to the front"
    (2) "the distance of the shot was 1-1.5 inches"

Welch insists: "it's a matter of record, it's there go
look up the autopsy report".

Welch knew Dr. Tom Nagucci (sp?), who did the autopsy.
Welch calls him "an excellent forensic pathologist". He
explains that the prosecutor didn't bring this subject up
while questioning Nagucci, and the defense attorney did
not bring it up on cross examination. Neither did the
defense bring in a Forensic Pathologist of their own.

In a long aside, he mentions that Nagucci consulted
with him to get advice on how to prevent RFK's body
from being stolen away like JFK's was.

Welch essentially recommended trying to preempt
any excuse the feds might've come up with by
inviting various representatives to attend the
       autopsy.

Along the way:

Wecht does lots of ranting about the millieu in
which the assasinations took place, he tries to
remind people of the kind of mindset that
existed among some members of the right in those
days.

He does a magic bullet send-up, talking about
the various odd gyrations the one bullet was
supposed to have done.

In response to questions from the audience he
ends up ranting about the craziness of the
situation where Allen Dulles-- a guy who Kennedy
removed from the CIA-- gets placed on the Warren DULLES_DID_IT
Commission investigating Kennedy's
assassination.

In Welch's remarks about the team at Bethesda, he reminds
that Kennedy had a bullet wound on his neck, which the
Parkway team immediately began using in lieu of a
tracheotomy to intubate Kennedy (they hadn't yet
concluded he was dead); when Kennedy's body was autopsied
at Bethesda they missed the fact that there was a bullet
wound there.

Welch comments (I paraphrase):

"Yes: they were doing an autopsy on the President
of the United States and they missed a bullet
wound. How do you deal with something like that?
If you're Japanese, you commit suicide. If you're
British, you resign. If you're American, you
    bullshit your way through."
