The youtube channel "Transport Evolved"
has a criticism up of the documentary [link]
"Planet of the Humans".

                                                       HUMAN_PLANET
There's a now common litany of complaints
about this documentary:

o old data about old designs
  o ignores "peer-reviewed science"
o this is a gift to the bad guys

After covering this ground, the white woman
going through this spiel gets to the killer
argument: There's a lack of *ethnic diversity*.
The documentary has interviews with various
experts (or "experts") and they're all white:

   "The video was frankly *white*."

This left me thinking "have you looked in the
mirror recently?".

And I also wonder if she's checked the ethnic
diversity of the "peer-reviewed science" she's
referring to, because I suspect you're going to
find people-of-color somewhat under-represented
there, as well...

This is the milk calling the mayo white.

I've seen other commenters go there, including
Josh Fox at The Nation-- there's a certain kind HUMAN_FINISH
of white lefty that thinks they can score points
by complaining about someone else's whiteness...

It's a pretty common meeting topic
                         among well-intentioned left-wing
                         organizations: "why don't more
black people want to play with us?"

I know of one case where someone tried to point
out that most of the people in the room had
money behind them, and busting your ass at a
                             low-paid non-profit gig isn't a realistic option
for many people... that remark apparently
                             didn't go over terribly well.

I was once at a Green Festival in
San Francisco and a white dude
sitting next to me started showing
off his Sensitivity, gesturing Those damn Greens
around the room asking me if I'd are so frankly-white.
noticed how white the crowd is.
