YESTERDAYS_REVOLUTIONS

                                             Sept 17, 2011
                                             May 3, 2019

I was just over in Borderlands Books
on Valencia Street, and for a moment
I was afraid someone was going to
beat me to the last copy of Gibson's From a post to alt.gothic.
"Zero History". A pair of young The original title was:
women-- who I would've figured were
around 20, but in retrospect I think "kids these days #1: the
they sounded a little younger-- port over the Sky was the
stopped to look at it, and one of color of Ikea furniture"
them began showing off her knowledge:

    "Oh, William Gibson. He wrote
    _Neuromancer_. I was supposed to
read that for class. You know
    the term 'cyberspace'? "

    Whither the revolutions of yesteryear?

"I was supposed to read that for class." You can see why Gibson
                                                        was fantasizing about
                                                        escaping from history:

                                                            ZERO_HISTORY
