   STALLED

I thought I should write about how I increasingly
don't seem to care very much about what's going I mean, the Oakland
on inside San Francisco itself. Museum has an Afrofuturism
                                                     exhibit about to open.

                                                        I'm sure there's some
                                                        fine thing planned
                                                        for the museums of SF,
                                                        but I can live without
                                                        easily enough.

In the eternal battle of the establishment
and the renegade upstarts, San Francisco UPSTARTS
  seems to have switched sides.

Nevertheless, it's not like San Francisco is
  a complete dead zone...

But there's some odd places that have sprung up
arising out of the last wave of cheeseball
startups-- maybe there's a new scene I'm just
  not clued into.

And while the east side of town is turning
into sili-valley north, the west side is
        relatively untouched...

I almost always enjoy hanging out in Japantown
        and points further West.

This is one of my many unresolved
                      contradictions: I'm a strong believer
in public transit, but the presence of
                      easy public transit invariably warps
                      the character of neighborhoods,
sometimes in ways I don't like.

I prefer the neighborhoods off the 38 Geary
bus line to the ones off of the BART and
                      MUNI rail lines...
