   Coming into the problematic
   "Macross Seven" anime series in
   the middle was confusing:
                                              MACROSS_PLUS
     Okay, A large, city-scale
     interstellar space
     ship. Okay, they're under
     attack by some sort of              (August 22, 2004)
     psychic vampires.  So, why
     do they keep bugging us with
     this silly drama about these
     inane pop singers?"

     Oh, the pop singers are also
     combat pilots?  And they fight
     the vampires by *singing*
     *bad* *pop* *songs* at them...

   Um.

      Many, many things about
      this make one cringe --
      and we haven't even
      mentioned the incessant,
      up-beat sliding-guitar
      harmonica schlock rock
      yet --

      There are many               PLEASED_TO_MEET_YOU
      barriers here to
      push through...
