POSSESSIVES

                                             December 4, 2021

In the piece

"The Key to All Myths" by
  Kawame Anthony Appiah LEVI-STRAUSS
From "The New York Review of Books",
  February 13, 2020

Appiah throughout uses the possessive:

  Lévi-Strauss's

Rather than what I was taught was standard english
for words ending in "s":

  Lévi-Strauss'

I wouldn't necessarily use Appiah as an authority-- he's
originally from Ghana-- but he *did* get this past the
NYRB copy-editors, and if "standard" english is changing
on this one I'm certainly not going to complain.
