DEATH_OF_HIFI

                                    September 12, 2006

I never would have believed it at the
time, but I grew up during what was
apparently the tail-end of what was That's short for
just a fad for "Hi-Fi". "high fidelty",
                                                     you punks.
I thought people really *liked* the good
sound quality of large speakers and clean And "sci-fi",
amps... was a riff
                                                       off of hi-fi.
It turns out that really they just
like having the latest gadgets, they
don't really seem to care what they
are.

The kind of people who used to compete
on speaker size now compete on how many
badly compressed sound files they can
squeeze into their little digital I never particularly
players. liked the "cd sound"...

                                                     CLEAN_AND_BRIGHT

                                                     DEATH_OF_THE_ALBUM

                                                But just when you
                                                thought things
                                                couldn't get worse...
