BOP

                                   January 6, 2011

  On the "burden of proof".

  Who gets the BOP is
always the question. If you flip the BOP to
                                   a Christian, they
                                   block it with their
                                   faith shield.

            The usual assertion is that
"the burden of proof rests And no, I don't believe that
with the side making the anyone ever suggests that this
            assertion." assertion about assertions
                                             needs to be proven.
            That's an implicit
            endorsement of the
            status quo, a set of
            rules that lets EXTRAORDINARY_CLAIMS
            conventional beliefs
            win on a tie.

     So, then, who gets
the BOP is a matter of

         POV

     The familiar always seems
     like "common sense".
